It is situated in the Iskenderun Gulf of Hatay. It was investigated by G. Lehmann et al. in 2006. It was dated to MBA, LBA, Iron Age, Persian, Hellenistic and Byzantine periods. Large höyük near Kışlaköy with steep slopes on all sides. Illicit excavations on the top of the site exposed large boulders that seem to be part of a monumental structure. Walls that were probably fortifications are visible in cuts and around the slopes. The top of the site is approximately 200x100 m. Below the höyük there are settlement remains around the mound to the north and to the east. Among the small finds were female terracotta figurine; the foot of a terracotta bull figurine; and a Late Helladic IIIC sherd [Lehmann et al. 2008:173]. It was resurveyed in 2009. An especially noteworthy artifact recoverd during the 2009 surface survey was a storage jar handle with a stamped seal impression bearing Luwian hieroglyphs. Several looter pits were documented on the top of the mound, as well as a modern irrigation channel running along the southern side. Some wall remains have been noted on the mound and in general there are many cobblestones on the slopes [Killebrew 2011:40-41].
