It is situated 500 m east of Adana-Ceyhan motorway in the village of Aktikara which is 14 km west from Ceyhan District in Adana Province. It was discovered by S. Girginer et al. during Cappadocia and Cilicia Surveys at Kayseri (Yahyali) and Adana (Ceyhan II) in 2006. It is also known as Salyan or Selim Bey. The mound has a diameter of 70 m and a height of 20 m. The sherds mainly consist of creamy white, flint scraped, direct rimmed bowl fragments and Obeid painted vessels of Chalcolithic Age, burnished EBA vessels with buff color coating which is specific to Amik as well, and specimens which represent Roman and Byzantine Periods [Girginer 2008:394]. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
