It is situated in the Kilçesme area 600 m northeast of Demirci Village, in Kovancilar District of Elazig Province. It was researched during the Upper Tigris Archaeological Survey by E. Danik et al. in 2006. The mound has the following dimensions: 65x60 m in northeast-southwest direction, 30 m plains diameter atop the mound, and an approximate 15 m height which differs from one place to another. The north and northeast parts of the mound are steeper, the other sides have smaller declinations. A large amount of sherds were revealed at the mound and EBA as well as MBA material were collected [Danık 2008:347]. |
