Inundated by Keban Dam; the 2.5-3 m high mound; measuring 90x70 m; lies southeast of Elazig; 500 m northwest of Sarpulu village. The broad and shallow mound was first discovered by R. Whallon and S. Kantman. Also called Körtepe; Çakiltepe's plan is irregular. A very little amount of ceramics of Chalcolithic ware and grafite-slipped ware were collected by Whallon. In addition; EBA; LBA; IA; Hellenistic-Roman Period and Medieval Age sherds were found on the surface. The location code of the site is O 54 / 15.
