| Situated near the Yatagan District; the site is 24 km northwest of the Mugla Province. The Yatagan (Ahirkale) District was established on Ahirköy or Ahiköy; and was included in the J. Mellaart's map without any further details. However; settlements at both Yatagan and other EBA sites (?) named Ahirköy; southeast of Yatagan; were indicated in the map prepared by D. H. French. Because the Lagina cemetery from the EBA is located in the surrounding territory; sherds dating from the EBA were recovered. Further investigation is necessary. |
