It stands on a low rocky ridge located on the exit of Sipahiler Village; about 5 km north of Ihsangazi District; southeast of Kastamonu Province. It was discovered in 1996 during the Kastamonu Survey conducted by A. Özdogan; C. Marro and A. Tibet. It is suggested that the site had been inhabited more or less continously from the Chalcolithic Age to the Hellenistic Period. |
