Remains of an ancient village are observed on the southern slopes of the rocky hill; 1 km southeast of the Gökbel Quarter between the ancient settlements of Sandalion and Kapikaya; east of the Aglasun District of the Burdur Province. The village should have reached to to a significant level as it was cultivable and located near the Sagalassos-Konane during the Roman Period. The surveys conducted in 1994-95 under the direction of M. Waelkens on behalf of the Catholic University of Leuven yielded remains of buildings; built or partly carved in to the rock. Some architectural fragments; probably of grave structures; were identified to the south of a large terrrace wall for defensive purposes. To the northwest of the ancient site there is a heroon from the Roman Period; partly survivded to the present day. It measures 7.6x7.5 m. It was erected by pseudo-isodomic technique on a 1 m high platform with one step. The entrance to the heroon is through a gate in Ionic order to the west. To the southeast of the heroon rises a plain arcosolium.
