The large and low mound; measuring 100x150 m and 7 m in height; lies northeast of the city of Adana; 1 km north of Ceyhan. Surface collections conducted by Neilsen Research Team in 1936 was followed by the Cilicia Survey conducted by M.V. Seton Williams in 1951. The analyses of the collected sherds suggest a dominant Chalcolithic Age settlement at the mound. Ceramics; belonging to the Chalcolithic Age are of chaff-ware. In addition; there is a small Hellenistic settlement at the site.
