It is a steep hill at the Asagi Quarter of the Yumrutas Village; 22 km southeast of the Aglasun District of the Burdur Province. The remains of the fortress on the tophill were investigated by a team under the direction of M. Waelkens on behalf of the Leuven Catholic University. The hill covers an area of 40x100 m; and a wall strecthing on the southeastern slope of the hill were erected by blocks cut from the local conglomerate. The watchtower built by big cut blocks of the same material at the summit has a square plan with a dimension of 7x7 m. The three sides were surrounded by 1-2 m wide ditches. The tower overlooks the Yalakasar Hill and Kapikaya to the north; Adada and Pednelissos to the east and southeast; and Cremna to the west. It forms the circle of an outer defense system installed at the southern border of Sagalassos. The potsherds of the Sagalassos red slip ware from the mid-Roman Period and brick fragments were collected from the surface. Dated to the Late Hellenistic Period; the fortress should have lost its significance during the Late Imperial Period.
