It lies 14 km southwest of the Burdur Province. Surveys were conducted under the direction of M. Waelkens in 1996-97 on behalf of the Catholic University of Leuven in a mound and its vicinity 800 m north of the Bayindir Village. Particulary the eastern section of the mound yielded potsherds of the Sagalassos red slip ware and coarse ware from the Late Imperial Period. The remains; which were re-used in some of the houses and cemetery of the village; mostly dating to the Roman Period; and some being inscribed; were probably removed from this mound. It is also indicated that some blocks found in the village were transferred from a collapsed bridge. Two inscribed and relief altars dedicated to Apollo indicate that Apollo was worshipped here to protect the farmers. The column drums; architrave blocks and blocks with fluted friezes identified at the cemetery should have belonged to a shrine or a monumental tomb.
