The survey conducted by Diler in 1996 on a hill to the east of the former Çine of the Çine District of the Aydin Province yielded Carian type of city walls and terrace walls and rock pavements. On the western slope of the hill; there is a rock burial; which consists of a cult platform and stair carved into the rock overlaid by a channel and a burial basin. Its features are reminiscent of the Urartu and Phrygian monuments [Diler 1998:411]. No exact dating has been provided about the remains. |
