The survey conducted by Tuna in 1991 at the vicinity of Bencik; which is located where the Datça Peninsula is connected to Anatolia; southwest of the Mugla Province yielded stamped Rhodian amphoras from the Hellenistic Period. Based on the finds; it was found out that east of Bencik was not included within the borders of Cnidus [Tuna 1983:361].
