It lies to the west of the Sarayköy District of the Denizli Province. The road running from Sarayköy to Hasköy divides into two after a while. If the left one is taken; it reaches to the Tekke Village while the right one is connected to the Denizli-Aydin motorway [Umar 1999:327]. Strabo informs that Kaurura (Carura) is located on the Carian and Phrygian border [Strabo 12; 8; 17; 14; 2; 29]. And between Laodiceia and Kaurura rises the Temple of Men Carus [Strabo 12; 8; 20]. No dating information is available about the remains. |
