| It is located 700 m southwest from New Damn Lake in Bayat; 700 m north of Asarcik Stream; 1200 m southeast of Belencik Mevkii. It was researched within the scope of "Afyonkarahisar Province and Districts Archaeological Survey" by Ö. Koçak; and A. Isik et al. in 2005. It is assumed that the necropole which went through serious destructions due to illicit diggings actually extended to Asarcik Höyük. Because of this destruction only 23 stone sarcophagi were revealed. The necropole is 200x260 m in norht-south/east-west directions [Koçak-Isik 2007:360-361]. |
