It is located 1 km north of the new Zile-Alaca-Ankara road; at Nohut Tepe Mevkii; 3 km southwest of Kazikli Village. The Nuh Beleni Fountain is 250 m south of the mound. It was researched within the scope of " Tokat Province; Zile and Turhal Districts Surveys" by M. Özsait et al. in 2005. It is found that the tumulus of 100 m in diameter; with a fill depth of 8 m was completely destroyed; and it was actually built on an EBA settlement. The pottery revealed in the prehistoric settlement below; due to the illicit diggings prove this [Özsait 2007:454]. |
