Soysalli Village is located 15 km west of the district; above the Develi-Kayseri highway. It was researched within the scope of "Adana (Ceyhan); and Kayseri (Develi) survey" performed by S. Girginer et al. in 2005. It is a hill situated on the southwest of the village; and there is a water spring on the western skirts. It is also known as Gökdemir Tepesi. There is a silex blade; obsidian fragments; and a bracelet fragment found; and the pottery was identified as EBA; and Byzantien Period [Girginer 2007:183]. It was visited during the survey conducted by Kulakoglu and his team in 2010. It is located near the groundwater source next to the rocky area, 500 m south of Soysalli Village. EBA, MBA, IA and Roman potsherds were collected. Especially the ones belonging to IA are abundant [Kulakoglu et al. 2012:224]. |
