It was researched in the scope of the "Adana (Ceyhan) and Kayseri (Develi) Surveys" by S.Girginer et al. in 2005. It is a mound approximately 6 m high; 2.2 km southwest of Yenikent Quarter in Birkent County. It is known as Hürusagi; or Kel Sümbül Höyük. An irrigation canal; and a stabilized road are passing by the west side of the mound. Ceyhan river is running 2 km north from the mound. The mound was devastated by the agricultural activities. In addition to the silex fragments there are pottery samples dating to Chalcolithic; MBA; Roman and Byzantien Periods [Girginer 2007:178].
