It rests on a slope overlooking the Euphrates to the immediate south at where the Keskere Streams spills into the Euphrates, 600 m southeast of the Asurge Quarter. The settlement lies on a narrow ridge consisting of pebbles and sand. The ridge and a part of the settlement appears to have been eroded because of natural abrasion. To the west runs a village road, and the period of finds uncovered were identified as follows: - Iron Age (mostly coarse ware) - Classical Age - Ages following Classical Age [Özdogan 1977:81]. |
