| As a flat and single-period settlement, the Aktas Field extends 100 m in the east-west, and 80 m in the north-south directions. It measures around 2 acres. It rests on a Pleistocene terrace overlooking the Euphrates. It is located 100 m south of the Mercihamis Village, and only Iron Age material was collected [Algaze et al. 1994:60]. |
