It is located in the Bornova Quarter of Izmir; where now the Bornova High School rises; in the center of Izmir Province. The mound lies to the south of the high school. Sherds datable to the EBA were collected from the surface. The site was revisited and investigated by a team under Z. Derin during the fieldwork of Bornova-Kemalpaşa (İzmir) Archaeological Inventory. It is reported that the finds of pottery are the evidence of an EBA I settlement at the mound [Derin-Batmaz 2005]. The site is also known as Bornova Anadolu Lisesi Höyügü.
