It lies 4 km west of Akçali Village; 29 km southwest of Tuzluca District of Igdir Village. East of the mound which lies in north-outh direction flows the stream of Akbudak. The roads to Karacaören and Kayaören villages passes around the mound. It was investigated by A. Ceylan during the survey in 2003. No pottery finds encountered. It is suggested that the wall technique of the castle resembles the architectural characteristics of EBA and Iron Age castles. |
