Kalaca Kalesi lying in east-west direction locates 20 km southwest of Tuzluca District of Igdir Province. The castle is severely damaged but the cyclopean walls are remained 1-1.5 m in height at some places. It was investigated by A. Ceylan during the survey in 2003. It is suggested that the wall technique of the castle resembles the architectural characteristics of EBA and Iron Age castles. |
