| Lots of flint chipped stone tools were found around the oil well #161 on Mount Raman; southeast of Karayün Village; south of Batman Province. Thirteen bifacial tools; a chopping tool; a trifacial pickaxe; eighteen cores and fifteen flakes and blades are found during the survey conducted by H. Taskiran in 2003. The finds are dated to Lower Palaeolithic Age. Survey code is S61/65. |
