Inundated by Atatürk Dam Lake; the 15 m high mound; measuring 120 m in diameter; used to lie south-southeast of Adiyaman; on east bank of Euphrates; below Biricik village. It stands on a natural elevation of the Euphrates' first bench. The southern part of the mound was eroded by the river. Sections reveal a deposit of 15 m thick. Sherds collected during the survey under Serdaroglu and Özdogan expose that the settlement had been inhabited during the Chalcolithic Age; the EBA; LBA; the Iron Age and the Post-Classical Age. Largely ware of EBA I was recovered. Karaz ware and reserved slip decorated ware recovered from the surface yielded the significance of this settlement. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
