There are lots of caves on the southeastern slope of the conical hill at the location called Kirkmagara Tepe; 1.8 km west of Kesme Village; northeast of Birecik District of Sanliurfa Province. The finding place was discovered by Birecik-Suruç Archaeology Team of TÜBA in 2001. Plenty of stone artifacts yielded at the surface collection made in an area of 150x150 and some of them are dated to Lower Palaeolithic. Survey code is N40A006.
