It lies 500 m southwest of Beynam Village; Bala District; southeast of Ankara Province. It was discovered by D.H. French. A team under S. Omura revisited the site; and recovered pottery dating from the Chalcolithic Age and the EBA. Particularly a few exteriorly red and interiorly black; excellently burnished EBA pottery was found. The mound houses finds identical to the other EBA settlements in Ankara. It is an oval-shaped; flat mound; 6 m high while it is 190 m long in the east-west direction and 94 m long in the north-south direction. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
