It lies on the southern section of a hill, which is 1976 m high above the sea level, to the east of the Mount Keçikiran, 4 km southeast of the Kozlu Village in the Kagizman District of Kars. To the east are fresh water sources. On the immediate skirts of the settlement lie several tombs bearing the Early Iron Age features, and some oval-planned structures to the west. Based on the ceramic finds dating to the Early Bronze Age, Early Iron Age, Middle Iron Age and Middle Age, it appears that the settlement bears characteristics of an earlier period, and it was also inhabited during the Middle Age, and at present it has been used as an cultivated area. The settlement has suffered a heavy destruction as a result of illicit diggings and cultivation. When considered in overall, the core is a large Early Iron Age necropolis accompanied with a flat settlement, probably from the same period.
