It lies about 500 m northeast of the village of Çayhatap located on the left bank of the road the leads to Alaca from the Çorum-Yozgat turnout; 20 km southwest of the province of Çorum. It is about 10 m high from the plain level and measures 250x200 m. It was discovered in 2002 by T. Yildirim and T. Sipahi. Besides the Iron Age ceramics found on the upper part of the mound; the site has also yielded EBA; Early Hittite and Roman material. |
