It is the hill located 250 m south of the village of Yenimahalle; district of Bismil; province of Diyarbakir. This area is covered with vineyards and pistachio trees; on the western bank of Seyhan stream; overlooking the stream. During the survey conducted by H. Taskiran and M. Kartal in 2002 Levallois cores and flakes were collected. A small bifaced tool is pretty typical. The techno-typological characteristics of the assemblage indicates the end of the Lower Palaeolithic and the beginning of Middle Palaeolithic. |
