Sherds and tools made of grinding stones and flintstones recovered from the several places of Acropolis of Bergama were dated to the middle of the third millennium BC. According to these finds; it can be claimed that the site was first occupied during the Early Bronze Age like any other Antique Age settlement. The EBA settlement here has been damaged by the late period settlement. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
