The mound is located 2 km southeast of the village of Kavurga in the district of Keskin; province of Kirikkale. It measures 210 m in diameter and 15 m in height. It was discovered in 1990 during the surveys conducted in the Central Anatolia under the leadership of S. Omura. The majority of the surface finds consists of EBA sherds. MBA and Iron Age materials were also collected.
