It is located in the district of Çiçekdagi; province of Kirsehir. The mound lies on a natural hill and measures 14 m in height; 73 m in diameter. The settlement is seriously destructed by the construction of more than 20 buildings on its foots. It was visited by W. Orthmann in 1960; and reinvestigated in 1987 during the Survey of Kirsehir Province conducted by S. Omura. Based on the surface finds; the settlement is dated to the third; second; and first millennia BC. The EBA finds consist of monochrome; straw tempered; nail impressed; red and brown paint decorated sherds and a groove decorated; one handled cup. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
