It is in the village of Safali; 11 km northwest of the district of Çiçekdagi in the province of Kirsehir. The mound lies on a slope on the terrace of a river. It measures 8.5 m in height and 76.5 m in diameter. It was discovered in 1987 during the Survey of Kirsehir Province conducted by S. Omura. According to the surface finds; it is suggested that the mound was inhabited during the third and the first millennia BC. The EBA finds are straw tempered; underfired; monochrome sherds and a foot-shaped baked clay object. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
