It is in the center District of the province of Batman. The basin of Maharasahrin Stream; begins from the western slopes of Süleyman Çiftligi and Gerikavra Tepe; runs towards southwest and flows into the Tigris. The findspot is on the beginning point of one of the upper tributaries of the stream. It was discovered in 2001 by a team leaded by H. Taskiran during the project of "The Palaeolithic Survey in the Ilisu Dam Reservoir Region". Biface tools; one mattock; cores; notched and nibbled tools and one side scraper was found. Code S61/36. |
