It lies on the slopes below and above the motorway; 1.5 km south of the village of Kuyubasi in the Merkez district of the province of Batman. It was discovered in 2001 by a team leaded by H. Taskiran during the project of "The Palaeolithic Survey in the Ilisu Dam Reservoir Region". Biface tools of large; medium and small sizes were encountered. Notched tools; nibbled tools; various types of side scrapers; and one bec and one chopping tool are other finds. Code S61/31. |
