It lies about 1 km northeast of the village of Salat in the district of Bismil; province of Diyarbakir. It was discovered in 2001 by a team leaded by H. Taskiran during the project of "The Palaeolithic Survey in the Ilisu Dam Reservoir Region". Chipped stone tools were mostly encountered on the southern slopes of the hill and to the north of Beyaztoprak hill. 6 biface tools were found. The site shows a variety in treated flakes and blades. Besides the nibbled forms; side scrapers were also available. Code S60/64. |
