The site is located in Adaksu Beldesi; some 20 km south of the district of Malazgirt in the province of Mus. It lies at a point close to the northern skirts of Süphan Dag. The site is also known as Mezarliktepe and there is a modern cemetery over it. It is a pretty large mound measuring 300x250x25 m. The site was investigated together with Konakkuran and Adalar mounds in 1999 by A. Özfirat during the survey of Mus Province. Typical Early Transcaucasian pottery sherds were collected. The sherds are generally medium and coarse sand tempered; and the majority is moderately and underfired. They are cream and brown in color and almost all of the examples are burnished. These materials are parallel those encountered from the other Early Transcaucasian settlements of the region. It was revisited during the survey performed by Biber and his team in 2010. It lies on the south section of Adaksu Village, 20 km south of Malazgit District of Mus Province. Adaksu Creek flows from north and west of the mound. It is 20204 m high above sea level and it measures 350x250 m. It is an oval shaped mound with a flat top side. It is with a height of 25 m on the north and with a height of 17 m on the south. The collected sherds from the surface belong to EBA and IA [Biber et al. 2012:387].
