The site is located in the town center of Malazgirt; in the province of Mus. It is in the southern section with the fresh water sources and on the right bank of the Adalar river. It measures about 200x100x20 m. The site is destructed by the modern houses nearby. There are numerous Medieval graves on the mound. The site was investigated together with Konakkuran and Adaksu mounds in 1999 by A. Özfirat during the survey of Mus Province. Typical Early Transcaucasian pottery sherds were collected. The sherds are generally medium and coarse sand tempered; and the majority is moderately and underfired. They are cream and brown in color and almost all of the examples are burnished. These materials are parallel those encountered from the other Early Transcaucasian settlements of the region.
