Mehmet Çekirge Tarlasi is in Keleklioglu (Sara) village in Karkamis district; Gaziantep province. It is a field belonging to Mehmet Çekirge; 750 m west of Agatepe; in the area with the irrigation channels [Taskiran 2002:417]. This site was discovered in 2000 by a team leaded by H. Taskiran during the project of "The Palaeolithic Survey in the Carchemish Dam Reservoir Region" coordinated by METU TAÇDAM (Center for Research and Assessment of the Historic Environment). It has the characteristics of the Lower and Middle Palaeolithic Periods [Taskiran 2002:417]. The site has yielded a total of 22 chipped stone finds; including 5 bifaces. The finds have the characteristics of the Lower and Middle Palaeolithic Periods [Taskiran 2002:417]. Code W48/46.
