This site is in Gaziantep province; Karkamis district. It is located about 1.5 km southwest of Kefri; 500 m west of Kabiroku hill [Taskiran 2002:425]. As a result of the intense pistachio cultivation; some areas have been leveled and dry stream beds have been filled with soil. At the beginning point of one of these dry stream beds; the area where two beds join; has abundantly yielded Palaeolithic finds. This area; between the two dry stream beds and a little west of a high tension power line is locally called Kubusoglu Mevkii [Taskiran 2002:425]. This site was discovered in 2000 by a team leaded by H. Taskiran during the project of "The Palaeolithic Survey in the Carchemish Dam Reservoir Region" coordinated by METU TAĒDAM (Center for Research and Assessment of the Historic Environment). Very typical Lower Palaeolithic bifaced tools (22 pieces) were collected [Taskiran 2002:426]. Code W48/44.
