This site is located 500-600 m northwest of Keleklioglu (Sara) Village in Karkamis district; Gaziantep province [Taskiran 2002:419-420]. The ridges that extend from the north of Tavsandeligi Hill to Çerkezkayasi Stream are locally called as Kepirler and in this area scattered Palaeolithic finds were scarcely seen. This stream; which is shown as Çerkezkayasi on the 1/25.000 scale map; is locally known as Takim Stream because it is the border of Gelinkayasi (or Elifoglu) Village. The ridges; extending from Tavsandeligi Hill to this stream and limited to the railway by the researcher; are called Kepirler Ridge [Taskiran 2002:419]. This site was discovered in 2000 by a team under H. Taskiran during the project of "The Palaeolithic Survey in the Carchemish Dam Reservoir Region" coordinated by METU TAÇDAM (Center for Research and Assessment of the Historic Environment). A total of 23 finds; including 8 bifaced tools; 6 cores and 9 flakes; were collected from the site [Taskiran 2002:420]. Code W48/36.
