Itdagi is in Gaziantep province; Karkamis district; Yukari Bayindir (Kini) Village. In the area where Gülkaya (Hümeyli)-Nizip asphalt road passes over Itdagi; scattered materials were rarely seen on both sides of the road and the area around it. Itdagi is the highest area in this region. The slopes and the top of the hill are covered with pistachio trees and the upper parts yield less finds than the lower slopes. It may be assumed that the materials on these upper parts were washed down the hill through the dry stream beds with the flowing water [Taskiran 2002:423]. This site was discovered in 2000 by a team under H. Taskiran during the project of "The Palaeolithic Survey in the Carchemish Dam Reservoir Region" coordinated by METU TAÇDAM (Center for Research and Assessment of the Historic Environment). It is possible to encounter Palaeolithic materials in this wide area if thoroughly investigated. Also flint is very abundant. Code W48/28.
