The villagers call this area Bozyer Mevkii. This site was discovered in 2000 by a team leaded by H. Taskiran during the project of "The Palaeolithic Survey in the Carchemish Dam Reservoir Region" coordinated by METU TAÇDAM (Center for Research and Assessment of the Historic Environment). Bozyer Mevkii yields numerous bifaced tools (28); cores (10); flakes and blades establish that this was a Palaeolithic open-air station [Taskiran 2002:421]. Code W48/34.
