The site is located in Gaziantep province; Karkamis district. It is a pistachio field about 250-300 m southwest of the bridge by which the Keleklioglu-Gürçay road crosses the Kömeçli stream. Code W48/42. The field belongs to Ahmet Kelek of Keleklioglu (Sara) village. Scattered finds were encountered on the slopes facing Kömeçli stream of the ridge where the field is located. The site was discovered in 2000 by a team leaded by H. Taskiran during the project of "The Palaeolithic Survey in the Carchemish Dam Reservoir Region" coordinated by METU TAÇDAM (Center for Research and Assessment of the Historic Environment). It shows Lower and Middle Palaeolithic characteristics. There are bifaced tools and cores together with flakes and blades in total 36 pieces that show Lower and Middle Palaeolithic characteristics [Taskiran 2002:418].
