Adacik Köyü is in Sanliurfa province; Birecik district; Adacik village. The site consists of the two fields located in the entrance of the village; one on the north side of the road after Savi Stream and the other in Kisik Mevkii on the west side before the stream. The fields in both areas are covered with pistachio trees. The material are scattered from the slopes through the border of the road. The site was discovered in 1998 by a team under the directorship of H. Taskiran during the project of "The Palaeolithic Survey in the Carchemish Dam Reservoir Region" coordinated by METU TAÇDAM (Center for Research and Assessment of the Historic Environment) and visited again in 1999 [Taskiran-Kartal 1999:47;48][Taskiran-Kartal 2001:496]. Cores; biface fragments; one chopping tool; flakes and blades which appear to be Lower and Middle Palaeolithic tools were collected [Taskiran-Kartal 1999:48]. Code W49/45a and W49/45b.
