It is located 400 m north of Samsun-Istanbul motorway and 2 km northeast of the quarter of Yeniçeltek; about 3 km east of the village of Kayadüzü in the district of Merzifon; Amasya province. This location is known as Karakaya Mevkii. It is about 120 m above the plain level. The settlement on the hill; which looks like a castle; measures about 15x20 m. In the destructed parts of the settlement were encountered a small number of EBA and Iron Age pottery sherds. |
