The site is located about 300 m south of Ankara-Kayseri motorway in the village of Asagi Ilicek; in the district of Hacibektas; province of Nevsehir. The upper section of the mound measures 150x90 m. It is in the northwest-southeast direction and 13 m high. There is a second hill about 7 m in height on the southwestern section. There are freshwater springs on the southern section and the houses constructed in this area have caused destruction. The pottery sherds collected from the surface are dated to the Early; Middle and Late Bronze ages. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. It was visited during the survey conducted by A. Türker in 2013. Türker stated that the mound is 412 m in diameter and 23 m in height. It is controversial that whether the second small hill on the mound, which is 7 m in height, is a citadel or tumulus. In the sections formed due to destruction, mudbrick walls, traces of floors, oven / heart spots were seen. On the surface, grinding and ground stone fragments, hammers, potsherds belonging to EBA, MBA, LBA, MIA, LIA, Hellenistic and Roman / Late Roman periods were found [Türker 2015:237].
