| It is located 7 km north of the village of Sahinler; in the district of Gülsehir; province of Nevsehir. The mound that lies in the Közeoglu Özü Mevkii which is also the name of the water spring to the south; was named as Gavurhu by the villagers. It is noted as Karhöyügü in the 25.000 scale map. It measures about 25 m in height; 175x42 m in east-west and 155x42 m in north-south directions. Apart from the northern section; there is a slope settlement that extends about 200 m towards the water spring to the south. Destruction pits were observed on the summit and the collected material was dated to EBA; MBA; Iron Age and Hellenistic-Medieval periods. |
