It lies on a slope on the foots of Erdas mountain; in the location called Sirakaya and Karabekir. about 600 m north of the village of Çakilli; in the district of Derinkuyu; province of Nevsehir. Immediately to the bottom and 200 m to the west; are fresh water springs. The southern section is 15 m and northern section is 7-8 m in height ant the upper part of the mound measures about 40 m in diameter. On the mound; which has the remains of basalt city walls; there are numerous destruction pits. The sherds collected from the surface are dated to EBA and Hellenistic-Roman periods. It takes place in the registered archaeological sites list prepared by Ministry of Culture and Tourism. |
