It is in Gedik Mevkii; 1.5 km northwest of the village of Çakilli in the district of Derinkuyu; province of Nevsehir. The mound lies on a basalt hill on the southeastern foot of the Erdas Mountain. The mound measures about 20 m in height and 200x250 m in diameter. The large stone slabs at the north; the Byzantine cisterns at the west and the sherds collected have shown the existence of a continuous settlement from the EBA to the Byzantine Period. |
